As RHS London Floral Artist in Residence 2017, Fiona gets to do three installations in the Horticultural Halls behind Victoria. This was the first one in Lawrence Hall from 13th - 15th February 2017.
We created a 3m x 3m Anatomical Heart for Valentines Day using Somerset willow and Cornus. We used basketry techniques to make the giant structure. The blood drops surrounding the heart were created using 600 British grown Cyclamen planted in moss Kokadma.
Our second RHS installation was in Linley Hall from 27th - 29th March 2017.
We made an 8m Floral Wave using Somerset willow and bamboo covered in foraged foliage and studded with spring flowers, Narcissi, Tulip, Ranunculus and Hyacinth all grown on our Farm near Bath.
The third installation was in RHS Cardiff from 7th April - 9th April 2017.
We designed a Welsh themed Floral Song to be shown in the three Pure Greenhouses.
We used Somerset willow again for the structure and “flowered it up” with our British grown spring flowers including Narcissi, Tulip and Ranunculus. Thousands of visitors to the show enjoyed our fresh flower creation.
Our fourth and final installation as RHS Floral Artist in Residence 2017 was the Autumn Show at Lawrence Hall in London on 25th & 26th October.
We created a large vertical mandala for the foyer at Lawrence Hall as well as a number of mini mandalas outside the event enticing visitors to come and see the show!
Using seasonal flowers grown by Bayntun Flowers and Electric Daisy Flower Farm, we created a 6m hanging garden for the ceiling of the marquee. A 3m floral ring was suspended above the moss covered bar.
